This year too Ludoteca Scientifica
will follow its slogan:
"when I hear I forget, when I see I remember, when I do I understand".
We will organize five workshops where a small group of no more than 10 high school students, possibly with
one or two teachers, will build a laser interferometer. The workshops will be led by a scientist involved in Virgo project, the large interferometer built on the EGO observatory site, near Cascina, to detect gravitational waves.
At the end of the work, the students shall bring the interferometer to their school for further experimentations.
Five possible dates are available, one 3 hour workshop per day,
from 10.00 to 13.00:
Saturday, April 16
Saturday, April 23
Saturday, April 30
Saturday, May 7
Saturday, May 14
Interested schools can enroll their students calling 050/315.3776.
